Powerhouse - a career in creative animation

"Currently within the world of creative production: - Women make up 36% of the total workforce across the creative sector - Within our film industry, just 16% of Directors are women - When it comes to TV, the lowest women’s representation can be found in Creator, Editor and Director of Photography (DOP) roles. 94% of programmes considered featured no women DOPs, and 81% no women editors. We want to break the bias and encourage gender parity within our industry. To do our part in kick-starting this change throughout March; we’ll be hosting a series of talks led by women within the creative production industry to show you what life can really like behind the lens. We’ll talk about everything from best bits to biggest challenges, the advice and journeys that can lead you to careers in styling, shooting, directing and animating. Whether you’re just starting out, or simply fancy a change, we’re here to answer your questions and inspire a more diverse talent pool for the future.
