Welfare Week | How to Make Your Own Scented Bag

Aromatherapy is an incredible tool when it comes to rest and relaxation, so if you’ve been tossing and turning at night, a lavender sleep sachet may be all it takes to help you drift off. It’s soothing scent acts like a mild sedative and makes you drowsy, while it’s also been shown to improve mood. People who are experiencing depression and anxiety are at least 4 times as likely to suffer sleepless nights, so a mood boost is important to enjoy being asleep as well as awake!

What You'll Need

– Dried lavendar flowers

– Lavender Essential Oil

– A Breathable Pouch such as organza/muslin (you could even buy the fabric to sew you're own!)

– Amethyst (optional)

Method

Step 1 If you're making your own bag then you'll need to sew your fabric together, grab your organza/muslin drawstring bag.

Step 2 Simply pop in your lavender flowers and add around 2 drops of essential oils.

Step 3 Add your amethyst and you're done, it's literally that easy! Now place it under your pillow or hang it off your bedpost and you're good to go!

If you'd like to get creative, you could add in camomile which is known for its soothing properties. You could even decorate the bag and make them up for friends as christmas presents.
