Being part of the Union is about having a voice and being heard in a way that could be invaluable in your future and the future of others! The student you choose to represent you will play an important role in making a difference to your time at LAU so make sure you have your say and cast your vote!
Working closely with the Student Welfare team and Leeds based welfare organisations your Welfare Officer will help ensure relevant and effective welfare advice and support is available to all LAU students. You will provide representation and raise awareness of a issues including sexual health, mental health, safety, finance, housing and general well-being.
In this important role they will assist the Union in planning a calendar of events, activities and campaigns that raise awareness of welfare and wellbeing for all our students. You will develop a greater understanding of wellbeing and learn to better support others.
Voting is open from 1 pm, Tuesday 4th May and will close at 6 pm, Thursday 6th May.
