About the Event
An art form which dates back to 7th century Japan, Kumihimo served as adornment for Buddhist temples, as lacing between the iron-plated armor of the samurai, as decorative wraps for sword handles, and as cords to secure the wide sashes of kimonos. In this workshop you’ll get the chance to make your own Kumihimo braid, so sit back and relax as you learn a new skill.
Limited spaces. Open to LAU students only. If you register to join an event through the Leeds Arts Union website, please ensure you check your emails for further information on how to join the event on the day. Materials provided by the Union.
