Diwali is a religious festival that originated in India, also know as the festival of light. People celebrate with their families and friends by lighting oil lamps, setting off fireworks and having large festivities! Come and Celebrate Diwali with fellow students!

About the Event

Come and celebrate Diwali in the Students' Union with fellow students in B2.G.03/04 and there will be snacks! The event is open to all who celebrate and fellow students with an interest in the culture and meaning of the Diwali festival.

Diwali is a religious festival that originated in India, also know as the festival of light. It's celebrated across 5 days by an array of different religions. Diwali is based on the Lunar Calendar so it is generally celebrated on a different date every year. The main messages of Diwali include celebrating prosperity, freedom, liberation and honouring figures of importance in religion! People celebrate with their families and friends by lighting oil lamps, setting off fireworks and having large festivities! Why not celebrate Diwali with fellow students!
