About the Event
Look After Your Mate is a training session designed by Student Minds the UK's student mental health charity. Following research that showed the important role friends can play in supporting each other throughout their university journey and mental health difficulties.Â
This training aims to empower students to not only broaden their understanding of mental health and well-being, but how to spot when a friend might not be doing so well, the tools you can use to support them, and importantly also support yourself.Â
The workshop last for 2 hours and will be delivered by the Students Union and Student Welfare staff. There will be a workbook for you to take notes during the workshop and keep afterward to refer back to. This is especially helpful if you are in a Student Representative role or a Society Leader but it is open to everyone.Â
Limited spaces, please book early to avoid disappointment.
