About the Event

Gua Sha is a form of traditional Chinese healing, Elaine of @elainegracetherapies will guide you through this unique way of both looking after and loving the skin you're in. Gua Sha is an ancient technique that utilises a smooth straight-edged tool (you can use your own or the back of a spoon will do perfectly!) and oil to scrape the skin and sculpt the face. Gua refers to the redness in your skin created by the rubbing action to stimulate blood circulation and Sha refers to the scraping technique used to sculpt the face.

Although Gua Sha has been brought to the attention of the wider public through recent wellness and beauty trends it has been around for hundreds if not thousands of years. It is based on principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine similar to acupuncture and combined with facial reflexology to help move 'Chi' or life force energy around…
