Organic Exhibition Launch

Join exhibited artists, staff and students to celebrate the launch of this exhibition!

The term organic in its most literal sense refers to things that are natural, untampered with or raw. However when we apply this to art, this theme can take on a range of meanings. We prompted the students with questions, such as; Does your work explore natural forms such as seashells, rocks or fossils? Have you used natural materials such as chalk or clay? Perhaps your piece is focused on exploring the natural world, including plants, animals or insects? Maybe you’re a filmmaker who works with soundscapes or someone who creates audio pieces from woodwind instruments. It could even be that the word organic refers to your artistic practice; the process of thinking up ideas, characters or sounds and how you generate these through creating storyboards, sketchbooks or voice notes. Whatever the link we want to see what you have created!

Open to LAU students only. Bar open 4pm - 5:30pm.
