About the Event

Writing can be an amazing  way to identify and communicate feelings. Join poet Ella Burns Robbins for a workshop that incorporates mindfulness and creative writing as a tool for tending to your overall wellbeing.

Ella is a poet and writer based across Nottingham and Leeds. She believes writing offers great potential for empowerment, healing and growing empathy. Coming up through community arts in Nottingham in 2018, she fell in love with writing and began her recovery journey. Since then, Ella has written for and performed at several events and venues around the country, including for Lush, BBC Nottingham and Leeds Playhouse.

Ella will be joining us in the Students' Union as part of Welfare Week to share all she has learnt about writing as a tool for self care and recovery with a series of mindful tasks and sensory prompts to get the creative juices flowing.

Limited spaces. LAU students only. Covid-19 safety measures in place.

Please ensure you check your student email for further information on how to join the event.
