EQUALITY & DIVERSITY OFFICER
Alongside the Student Liaison Team, this role celebrates and champions diversity and inclusion within the union and University as a whole. You will ensure that all our events, activities and campaigns are inclusive and accessible.
As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the University’s Access and Participation Development Manager and will sit on the Access and Participation Student Panel. This will offer you an inside perspective on the University’s ongoing and upcoming projects in widening participation.
You will also have the opportunity to be the student representative on the University’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee (currently 2 meetings a year), giving you the ability to ensure equality, diversity and inclusion is considered across student life; whilst protecting freedom of speech and expression to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all.
