Being part of the Union is about having a voice and being heard in a way that could be invaluable in your future and the future of others! The students chosen to represent you will play an important role in making a difference to your time at LAU so make sure you have your say and nominate yourself or speak to others and encourage them to apply!
WELLBEING OFFICER

Working alongside the Student Liaison and Student Advice and Wellbeing Teams, as well as our network of Leeds-based wellbeing organisations, the new Student Wellbeing Officer will be all about helping students discover, access and benefit from the professional support available at LAU.

You’ll design eye-catching campaigns and host engaging events around everything from mental health to safety, finance and accommodation. Think stress-less study sessions, mindfulness pop-ups, neurodiversity events, self-care socials, budgeting workshops or just cosy check-in and chat spaces during busy times of the year.

At the heart of the role is reminding students that prioritising their own wellbeing can be approachable, inclusive, and fun; encouraging students to look after themselves and each other while building a happier, healthier university community. See section 13 in the Code of Practice for further details on the responsibilities of the Students’ Union Executive Officers.
